The Australian Skilled Occupations List (SOL) is a list of occupations that are in demand in Australia and eligible for skilled migration to Australia. It is utilized as a component of a points-based immigration system for Australia. The choice or nomination of a certain employment is needed of skilled workers who wish to live and work in Australia. The candidate's experience and qualifications must match the occupation on the CSOL, or Consolidated Sponsored Occupations List. You must choose an occupation from the SOL if you want to apply for an Australia PR Visa through General Skilled Immigration and do not have a nomination from a Territory or State in Australia. Every year, Australia's Department of Home Affairs modifies the SOL to reflect the changing needs of the local labor market.
