NBPNP Immigration Streams

Currently, there are four immigration streams available for those aspiring to immigrate to New Brunswick.

1. Express Entry Stream

Under this stream, the NBPNP leverages the federal Express Entry immigration selection system to address the unique labor market and demographic requirements of New Brunswick. This stream functions on an 'Expression of Interest' model accepting EOIs from individuals who fulfill specific criteria that are different from the stream’s criteria for eligibility.

Requirements:

  • Possess an active Express Entry profile.
  • Have a Job Seeker Validation Code or provide evidence of enrollment in a PGWP-eligible program at a federally-designated post-secondary institution.

  • Currently reside in New Brunswick.
  • Hold valid language test scores in either English or French equivalent to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 7 (CLB 7).
  • Possess a valid Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) that verifies the fulfillment of the minimum educational credential requirement equivalent to a Canadian High School diploma.
Selection Criteria

Candidates interested in applying must achieve a minimum score of 67 out of 100 on a points grid that evaluates factors such as education, language proficiency, work experience, age, adaptability, and whether the candidate has a job offer from an employer based in New Brunswick. The following table shows the factors with the maximum corresponding points a candidate can achieve.

To qualify, candidates must create a profile in the federal Express Entry pool and submit an EOI to the NBPNP via email. The intake of EOIs may be temporarily paused, and the province does not announce when it will reopen. The NBPNP analyses the EOIs received and chooses eligible applicants to submit a full application for provincial nomination.
