Who Qualifies as a Dependent of a Global Talent Migrant?
You may qualify as a dependent of a Global Talent visa holder if you are:
1- Their spouse, civil partner, or unmarried/same-sex partner
2- Their child under 18 years old
To be eligible for the Global Talent dependent visa, you must meet the following criteria:
1- Valid Application: Submit a valid application from outside the UK for entry clearance.
2- Relationship Requirement: Demonstrate your qualifying relationship as per Appendix Global
Talent.
3- Age Requirement for Partners: Partners must be 18 or older at the time of application.
4- Age and Care Requirements for Children: Children must be under 18 unless previously granted
permission as a dependent. There must also be suitable care and accommodation arrangements
in the UK, complying with relevant legislation.
5- Suitability Requirements: You must not fall under the refusal grounds outlined in Part 9 of the
Immigration Rules.
6- Financial Requirements: Meet the financial criteria specified in Appendix Global Talent.
7- Tuberculosis Test: If applicable, provide a valid tuberculosis screening certificate.
To apply as a dependent partner, you must be in a qualifying relationship with the Global Talent visa
holder, such as:
1- The Global Talent migrant holds a valid Global Talent visa.
2- The Global Talent migrant is applying for and will be granted entry clearance at the same time.
If you are not married or in a civil partnership, you must have lived together in a relationship akin to
marriage or civil partnership for at least two years, with no other ongoing relationships. Your
relationship must be genuine and ongoing, and you must intend to live together in the UK.
To qualify for a Global Talent dependent visa, a child must be under 18 years old at the time of
application, unless they were previously granted permission as a dependent child. For children aged 16
or older, they must not be leading an independent life. If the child is under 18, there must be
appropriate care and accommodation arrangements in the UK that meet all relevant legal and
regulatory standards.

be granted for three years if the partner is also being granted settlement.
