Eligibility Requirements

Sponsorship Requirements

To qualify for a T2 Minister of Religion visa, the applicant must possess a valid Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) for the position they intend to undertake. 4- The CoS should not have been withdrawn by the sponsor or canceled by the Home Office.

5- It must verify that the applicant is qualified for the T2 Minister of Religion position.

6- It should confirm that the applicant is a member of the sponsor’s religious order, if applicable.

7- The CoS must state that the applicant will perform religious duties within or as directed by the

sponsor’s organization in the UK, which may include preaching, pastoral, and non-pastoral activities.

8- It must ensure that the role does not primarily involve non-pastoral tasks, such as school teaching, media production, domestic work, or administrative and clerical duties, unless it is a senior position within the sponsor’s organization.

9- The CoS should confirm that the applicant’s pay and working conditions are at least equivalent to those of settled workers in the same role, in compliance with, or exemption from, the national minimum wage.
