Sponsorship Requirements
The Certificate of Sponsorship must:
1- Verify the applicant’s identity, the role, salary, and PAYE details.
2- Specify a job start date within three months of the application.
3- Confirm the applicant will work for the sponsor for at least the initial six months.
4- Not be used in a previous application that was granted or refused (though it can be used in
cases where the application was invalid, void, or withdrawn).
5- Indicate if the Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) requirement applies.
The sponsor must be an authorized Home Office A-rated sponsor listed on the register of licensed
sponsors. The role must not be a temporary position with a third party or routine contract work.
Job at an Appropriate Skill Level
The job must be listed in Appendix Skilled Occupations and meet the Scale-up route criteria. The
decision-maker will assess if the role is suitable and if the sponsor has a genuine need for the position.
Appropriate Salary Requirements
The job must offer:
A minimum annual salary of £33,000.
A rate of £10.10 per hour.
The going rate for the specified occupation code.
Suitability Requirements
The applicant must not be refused under the grounds listed in Part 9 of the Immigration Rules.

minimum of £1,270. Applicants must show that these funds have been held for at least 28 days,
as outlined in Appendix Finance.
Meeting the financial requirement awards the applicant 10 points.

Applicants may need to provide a valid medical certificate confirming they have been screened for
active pulmonary tuberculosis and that no tuberculosis is present, if applicable under paragraph A39 and
Appendix T of the rules.
